We’re excited to have your family as part of the Savage Basketball Academy. This isn’t just a basketball program—it’s a culture built on commitment, growth, and accountability. Below are key expectations and frequently asked questions to get everyone aligned from day one.
Monthly Practice Fee: $200
Due on the 1st of every month via Venmo or Zelle. Late payments jeopardize gym access, practice time, and tournament entry. Please pay on time.

Tournament Fees:
Tournament costs are separate from monthly dues. Fees and deadlines will be shared via TeamSnap. If your child is marked as attending but the fee isn’t paid by the deadline, they won’t be rostered.
We use TeamSnap for all scheduling, updates, and tournament details. You can find it on your phone’s App Store.
You must mark your child’s availability for every tournament ASAP. We cannot commit to any tournament unless we know who’s available and advanced notice is critical in helping us secure our spots.
Set up push notifications within the TeamSnap App to avoid missing time-sensitive info.
Attendance matters – Showing up consistently builds chemistry and skill.
Effort matters more – Players must bring energy, focus, and a coachable attitude.
Individual development is key – Savage players are expected to train outside of team practices. Whether it’s shots in the driveway or skills workouts, self-motivation separates good from great.
Let the coaches coach.
Cheering is encouraged. Sideline coaching is not.
Players need one voice. Help us build trust and reduce confusion.
Support all players – Hype up your kid, but also be a fan of the team. Applaud hustle plays, not just highlights.
Keep it respectful
No arguing with refs, opposing teams, or other parents. Savage represents class—even under pressure.
Be on time, every time.
Be aggressive, but not violent. We have a zero-tolerance policy for fighting.
Be unselfish and uplift teammates. We win as a unit.
Show grit, respect, and self-control.
Stay ready. The gym is our classroom—we don't babysit.
Q: What if we’re going to miss practice or a tournament?
A: Mark it in TeamSnap or reach out to your coach as early as possible. Consistent no-shows without communication will affect playing time.
Q: Are uniforms included in fees?
A: Practice and game uniforms are a separate cost and details will be provided to new families.
Q: How is playing time determined?
A: Playing time is earned through effort, execution, attendance, and attitude. Savage is a developmental program—but not an equal-play guarantee.
Q: Can my child get extra training?
A: Yes! We offer individual training sessions. Ask us for availability and rates.
Q: What’s the best way to support my child’s growth?
A: Praise the effort, not just the outcome. Reinforce coach messaging. Encourage extra work. And above all—be patient with the process.
Q: How do we know the times and locations of the games?
A: We will do our best to post game times and locations within the TeamSnap App. But tournaments often make last minute changes, so it’s best to always check the respective tournament apps. Grassroots tournaments use the G365 app (iOS and Android). Sports Academy tournaments use the Sports Academy app (iOS and Android). There are other tournament hosts that have their own apps as well, but these are the primary tournaments we attend.Â
